I Was Thinking...
I was thinking about our church the other day. We have been in our permanent location for eight short months. Think about what we have accomplished! Even more, think about the six years since we started as a church.
God has used us in great ways for the Kingdom:
We saw over 12,000 attend our first Sunday here at Liberty Station.
(We could not have accomplished this without our church family stepping up and serving).
The Rock Academy opened its doors for the 2007-08 school year to over 300 students.
Our Christmas Eve service packed the house.
We have held two ministry fairs since the move, with more than thousands of people signing up to serve in the 60+ ministries serving our community. One ministry, JC Girls, was featured in the January 2008 issue of San Diego Magazine.
And the prison ministry was on the cover of the March issue of San Diego Lawyer.
In October 2007, San Diego County faced the devastation of the wildfires, and we came together as a family like never before to provide food, shelter and love to those who were hurting.
This past weekend we held 6 Easter services plus 3 at an alternate site. Over 18,000 people passed through our doors, and we saw over 400 people come into the family of God.
Overall we have seen thousands come forward to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and rededicate their lives. It has been an amazing journey so far and it is a blessing to have you be a part of it. Thank you!
We ask that you pray that God will continue to be glorified by the Rock, its people and its home. Ask also that He provide the resources to pay off the mortgage on our "home" so that we can serve Him in even greater ways.
In His Service,![]()
