Young Married Cafe Launch May 9 @ 630 pm

Our previous series was a very successful one, "Beating the Odds - Vegas Style!" In summary: The most successful people who come out "on top of the game" on the Vegas casino floor are the ones with a game plan. Couples generally get into marriage with all these high expectations and hopes of "hitting it big" - or at the least - "breaking even," yet we come into the whole thing without a game plan. In the series, couples learned the "why" and importance in establishing a "game plan" with our spouse, how to beat the odds in a world of failing marriages, and developed strategies to reduce the chances of rollling snake-eyes all the time.

Now, for our next series...

What would you do if you found out you only had one month to live? Would you have done things differently? Would you have been nicer to your husband or to your wife?

The topic for this new series is based on a book titled just that... "One Month to Live." It will be an hour to uncover and explore the subject matter with your spouse within a small group setting while having an opportunity to connect and enjoy time with other couples.

The intent for this series is to help us put what's important back into perspective. Every day we live - intentionally or not - not doing the things that we say is most important to us and doing the things that aren't so, and not realize it until it's too late.

Perhaps, it's time to reopen a passion that has been set aside for far too long and you just need that push... or mend a broken relationship from the past just like Earl? Perhaps, you already have it all together and just want something to do on a Friday night? Come meet others in the same boat!

Cafe opens at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments. Mingle before the start of the session and stay after too and meet-n-greet with other married couples just like you! And yes, free child care is provided so you can enjoy everything.

Again, what would you do if you only had 30 days to live?

Disclaimer:

This venue targets young married couples but others are welcome to attend.

If the Young Married Cafe isn't for you, check out other exciting venues and events at http://rock1825.com or http://therocksandiego.org.

This event takes place at The Rock Church, a non-denominational church on 2277 Rosecrans St. San Diego, CA 92106

For those who don't necessarily like "church," don't worry. We don't like "church" either and perfect people need not attend. This is a venue like no other. The venue's leader is a fire-fighter by occupation and his wife is a bridal fitness instructor. This is also not bible study but we do not teach anything counter to biblical moral principles. We do not attempt or try to convert anyone. We do not sell anything other than YOU investing yourself in YOUR marriage.

These are social events/venues we work hard to put together to serve the young married couples in the community because we want to build a community for all of us. Strength and strength in numbers is built in community and we hope that alongside like-minded people, we are able to strengthen marriages. Those interested in church are welcome to attend on Sundays but Friday is Young Married Cafe. Hope to see you there!

Hello Jen,

Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting.

I love this blog! Such wonderful messages and resources! I am including your blog on my blogroll today.

Strong marriages START with love, faith, belief and commitment in Jesus Christ. My husband and I will be married (he jokes...if we make it till then..ha!) for 25 years in October! What is the secret to this longevity? First and foremost is love for eachother which includes love for, faith in, and steadfast belief in Jesus.

I was a stay-at-home mom while our kids were growing up. NEVER regretted it! They are now grown (ages 23 and 20) and are wonderful, Jesus-loving, grounded, educated, and strong through faith young adults.

May God richly bless you, your husband, your child and the ministry you are in!

In Jesus,
Christine

My life vision is to use my spiritual gifts and enthusiasm (Greek for God-within) to glorify God and bring heaven down to earth so that all may know that there is an infinite God that unleashes the potential in each of us for the greater good.
